1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Uplift Sobriety website (the “Site”) and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site or services. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, patients, and others who access the Site or utilize our treatment services.

2. Description of Services

Uplift Sobriety provides outpatient substance use disorder (SUD) treatment services in the state of California, including:

  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
  • Outpatient Program (OP)

Each program is available in virtual, with housing, and without housing formats. Our services are provided by licensed clinical professionals in accordance with all applicable state and federal regulations governing substance use disorder treatment.

3. Licensing and Accreditation

Uplift Sobriety is licensed by the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) as a substance use disorder treatment provider. We operate in full compliance with all applicable California state regulations, including but not limited to Title 9 of the California Code of Regulations and the California Health and Safety Code.

  • Our facility maintains all required state licenses and permits for the provision of outpatient substance use disorder treatment services.
  • Licensing information can be verified through the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) at data.chhs.ca.gov or by calling DHCS at (916) 322-2911.
  • Our clinical staff hold current, valid licenses and credentials issued by their respective California licensing boards, including the Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS), Medical Board of California, and/or the California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP).
  • Staff credential verification is available upon request and can be independently verified through the applicable licensing board websites.

4. Not a Substitute for Emergency Care

The information and services provided through this Site are not a substitute for emergency medical care. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, psychiatric crisis, or are in immediate danger, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room. 5. Eligibility

Our treatment services are available to individuals aged 18 and older. Uplift Sobriety operates under applicable California state licensing requirements for substance use disorder treatment facilities. Our programs are staffed by licensed and credentialed professionals, including but not limited to physicians, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed marriage and family therapists, and certified addiction counselors.

6. Anti-Patient Brokering Policy

Uplift Sobriety strictly prohibits patient brokering in all forms. In compliance with California Health and Safety Code Section 124960 and all applicable federal and state anti-kickback statutes:

  • We do not pay or receive any form of compensation, remuneration, or financial incentive — directly or indirectly — in exchange for patient referrals.
  • We do not buy, sell, or trade patient leads, contact information, or referral lists.
  • We do not compensate any individual, entity, or marketing organization on a per-patient, per-admission, or per-referral basis.
  • We do not employ or contract with any person or entity whose primary role is to solicit, recruit, or broker patients for our programs.
  • All relationships with referral sources, including healthcare providers, community organizations, and employee assistance programs, are maintained in strict compliance with applicable law and do not involve any financial incentive tied to patient volume or admissions.

Any violation of this policy by Uplift Sobriety staff, contractors, or affiliates will result in immediate corrective action, including termination of the relationship and reporting to appropriate regulatory authorities.

7. Prohibition of Financial Incentives to Patients

Uplift Sobriety does not offer, provide, or promise any financial inducements to prospective or current patients in connection with enrollment in our treatment programs. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Cash payments, gift cards, or monetary rewards
  • Free or subsidized travel, transportation, or airfare
  • Free or subsidized rent, housing deposits, or living expenses not directly part of an approved treatment program with housing
  • Waiver of insurance co-pays or deductibles as an inducement to enroll (except as permitted by law)
  • Any other benefit intended to influence a patient's decision to seek treatment at our facility

Our housing programs are structured as clinical components of treatment and are offered in compliance with all applicable California and federal regulations.

8. Ethical Marketing and Advertising Standards

Uplift Sobriety is committed to truthful, accurate, and non-deceptive marketing and advertising practices. Our marketing policy adheres to the following standards:

  • All advertising materials and website content accurately represent our services, facility, staff, and treatment capabilities.
  • We do not make guarantees of specific treatment outcomes, “cure” rates, or success rates, as individual results vary based on many factors.
  • We do not use misleading imagery, stock photography that misrepresents our facility or staff, or deceptive testimonials.
  • We do not operate as a lead generation entity. All marketing directs prospective patients to our own licensed clinical services.
  • We do not make claims that our treatments are superior to those of other providers without verifiable, evidence-based substantiation.
  • All advertising complies with LegitScript certification standards, Google Ads healthcare advertising policies, and applicable FTC guidelines.
  • Our marketing team is trained on ethical advertising standards and is subject to regular internal compliance review.

9. Insurance and Payment

Uplift Sobriety works with many major PPO insurance providers. Insurance verification through our website or by phone is provided as a courtesy and does not guarantee coverage. Actual coverage, benefits, and financial responsibility are determined by your insurance plan and provider.

  • Insurance verification is a preliminary check and does not constitute a guarantee of payment or coverage.
  • You are responsible for understanding your insurance benefits, including co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket maximums.
  • Any balance not covered by insurance is the responsibility of the patient.
  • Payment terms, financial agreements, and fee schedules will be discussed during the admissions process.
